Objectives
To support our LSi Business School’s SME Program attributes namely Entrepreneur, Global Citizen and Life-Long Learner, LSi Business School students are required to engage in practical experiences outside of the classroom. Such experience allows them to have professional application of knowledge and skills gained in cognitive science coursework and research. In order to support student efforts for obtaining practical experience, to meet the following objectives: The practical approach is supported by the Stimulation Center of SME., the Center links students with employment, provides coaching to students in preparing their business plans, and organizes opportunities for students to pitch their ideas to investors.
- - Students will apply theories and skills, learned in coursework, to practical experiences in industry or research organization settings.
- - Students will develop new knowledge and skills as a result of their studies in SME and SES program.
- - Students’ learning from the SME and SES programs, this experience will enhance their career and educational objectives.
Responsiblities of the Stimulation Center
The Stimulation Center is responsible for coordinating and supervising the students with their Business writing and business plan presentations. Head of Stimulation Center will:
- - Ensure program policies and procedures are followed and maintain the integrity of the program’s effectiveness;
- - Assist students in structuring their ideas, identifying challenges and organize progress until completion, by providing consultation about processes.
- - Assess the effectiveness of the business writing through student evaluations;
Assist students in business plan descriptions and presentation techniques, group work, and dividing tasks according to skills and abilities. Group work demonstrate that students will use and further develop some or all of the followingskills:
- - Social skills, soft skills focused on leadership, group goals and respect for each other features.
- - Conceptual and analytical skills, including critical evaluation of evidence and data, experimental design and implementation.
- - Interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain regular contact with the group leader by responding to requests for information, submitting intern evaluations,
and providing counselling feedback.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry representatives, in order to promote students and their business ideas and writings.
